Biography
I'm a writer / director in docs and comedy, with extensive experience directing high-profile talent.
Recently, I directed Herstory - the first docuseries to be commissioned by MBC for Shahid, the biggest network and SVOD in the Middle East. Originating the project and overseeing it from development to delivery, scripting all 10 x 25’ episodes which included live action, archive, and animation. I also shot mixed-format footage.
With my background in journalism, sketch, stand-up and improv, I’m adept at quickly establishing trust and an environment that brings out the best in contributors and talent. Which I set against visceral visuals and a non-traditional approach to sound to make the narrative more compelling and hook in the audience.
Currently, I’m developing two comedy shorts, a TV comedy / drama series and my next doc series. I’m a member of the female filmmaker collective Cinesisters and am being mentored by BAFTA-winning directors Jasleen Kaur Sethi for documentary and Simon Hynd for comedy / drama.
I speak conversational French and Spanish, and some Arabic.
