Biography
Oonagh Kearney is an award-winning Irish director and writer. She most recently directed THE AU PAIR a new 4-part psychological thriller with MK1 Studios and Pernel Media, for Channel 5, ITV Studios and Canal Plus.
Previous TV directing credits include the Irish drama series OBITUARY (Block 2) for Magamedia, RTÉ, Hulu and AMC (nominated for Best Drama at the 2024 IFTAs), VARDY V ROONEY: A COURTROOM DRAMA for Channel 4 and Chalkboard TV, starring Michael Sheen (nominated for Best Drama Mini Series at the 2023 British Press Guild Awards) and 2nd Unit with Dearbhla Walsh on the award winning 1st series of BAD SISTERS for Apple TV/Merman.
As writer-director, Oonagh is developing the TV drama series NOTIONS with Keeper Pictures, ZDF and RTÉ, and has features in development with Screen Ireland, Keeper Pictures and EZ Films.
