Henry Fish is an award-winning filmmaker and writer who has worked both in the U.K. and Australia. He is a graduate of The University of Southampton, with a BA in Film and English, writing and directing for theatre and film. His work has gone on to be produced and screened at a variety of film festivals and theatres across the country.
In 2021 he started the production company S&H Films with frequent collaborator Sebastiano O’Grady. He has directed 5 short films for the company in that time, being funded by independent streaming services and working with City Councils. His films have won awards for best direction, best cinematography, best horror short film and best editing.
His theatre script, ‘A Serious House’, was shortlisted for The Uproar Theatre in 2022 and he subsequently wrote and directed a short film version of the script. The film has gone on to screen both nationally and internationally, winning awards for Best Actor and Best Short Film. Henry has also appeared on the BBC to talk about the film.
He was also one of 35 selections for CenterFrame’s Get It Made competition with his short script ‘Pater’. He attended a networking event at BAFTA 195 and has attached a director and producer to the project.
He is primarily interested in unconventional horror films, black comedies, myth, and folklore.
