Biography

Ruth Platt read English Literature at University College, Oxford University, after a comprehensive school education. She studied at RADA though left in her second year.  Her micro budget feature The Black Forest was nominated for The Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature in Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2019. Her BFI supported feature, Martyrs Lane, was nominated for the Cheval Noir at Fantasia Festival in 2021, has 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and was released on Shudder.
