Sarah Leigh is a neurodivergent/disabled, working-class writer-director & advocate. She is also the founder of INCLUSIVITY FILMS - a company committed to at least 50% of cast & crew identifying as d/Deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent on every production. Supported by Creative UK/BFI, she was also a WFTV-UK mentee for 2023. She is also the co-founder of INCLUSIVE TALENT, a talent agency for underrepresented actors.
Sarah adpated and directed the award-winning short film TYPICAL?, a co-production between Inclusivity Films and Bedazzle inclusive Productions. She most rceently adapted and directed ONE FOR THE ROAD, based upon a short story by Stephen King.
Other writing credits include short film ONE DAY, which was an Official Selection in the Screenplay category of the BAFTA/OSCAR-qualifying festival FLICKERS' RHODE ISLAND FILM FESTIVAL in 2022; NEWBORN (screenplay Official Selection at SHOCKFEST 2023); & HEARTBREAK (screenplay Official Selection at ONE MINUTE STORY FILM FESTIVAL 2023).
Sarah is a mother to two boys, one of whom is disabled, and her advcoacy work includes developing Healthcare Passports with the NHS, for children with complex needs and disabilities. She speaks out and consults on access and equity in the screen industries, but also within healthcare and everyday life.
