Biography

Charlotte began her film career in 2018, working in programming for the British Film Institute. Since then she has gone on to direct, write and produce shorts that have screened at numerous festivals in the UK and around the world. She recently wrote and directed the short film Rose, made in association with The Big C Charity, which had its world premiere at the Cheltenham International Film Festival in September 2023. Her directorial debut was Different Day which won Best British Short at Cornwall Film Festival, Jury's Choice Award at the South London Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Director and Best Short at Unrestricted View. Her first film, 'O, My Friend', which she wrote and produced, was nominated for Best Film at the Wales International Film Festival, and screened at festivals around the world.
Charlotte makes films that provide a window to a life that might ordinarily be overlooked. She hopes to depict life, relationships and human behaviour in a deeply authentic way, and through a different lens to the one we're used to. Her distinctive filmmaking style is defined by its stark yet poetic visuals, and complex characters. 
She currently has many projects in development including a feature film, documentary and several short films.
