Biography

Taha Ismail is a Bangladeshi writer, director & producer based in London. He is the founder of Collective Unconscious - a creative production studio & collective working across arts, culture & entertainment. 

Taha is a London Film School & Ravensbourne alumnus. His work explores storytelling from a deeply personal space, blending reality and fiction. He recently won the gold prize at the acclaimed 1.4 Awards in London for his creative short ‘Rise’.

Taha’s work has been showcased on US television, Aesthetica, Alaska Airlines IFE, Austin Music Video Festival, and featured across acclaimed platforms such as BBC, Omeleto, 1.4, BOOOOOOOM, & MYM amongst others.

A series of visualizers for Vaarwell’s EP “Quarter-Life Crisis”. The concept behind the campaign is in it’s name - the struggles of being 25. The short clips consist of various unrelated segments that are designed to evoke a sense of stagnation and disorientation. They are experienced as continuous loops, devoid of clear starting or ending points, further pushing the idea of feeling stuck and lost. 2023
