Biography
Jason is an award-winning writer and director working across film and television. His films have screened at top-tier film festivals around the world, including Newport Beach Film Festival, LA Shorts International Film Festival, Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh and Chicago International Film Festival, amongst others.
Jason has directed ‘EastEnders’ for BBC. He has worked extensively on RTÉ’s flagship continuing drama series, ‘Fair City’, where he has handled numerous specials including one of the series’ most audacious stunt sequences in its 35-year history. He also directed the entire third season of the RTÉ Player’s hit scripted comedy series, ‘The Doireann Project’.
Jason is in active development on his debut feature film, ‘The Others’, with the support of Northern Ireland Screen. ‘The Others’ won the JETS Initiative pitching competition during Berlinale in 2024. He has created the HETV series 'The Genesis Sect' which is in development with Screen Ireland. He is currently making 'Magic Markers', which is being produced under Screen Ireland’s premiere short film scheme, Focus Shorts.
Jason has an M.A. in Filmmaking from Raindance Film School, a post-graduate diploma in Advanced Producing from TU Dublin and he's an alumnus of the Reykjavik International Film Festival’s Talent Lab and Screen Ireland’s highly competitive ‘Screen Mentoring’ program (2022). He is part of the 2025 cohort of mentees on DirectorsUK prestigious 'INSPIRE' programme.
