Helena Antonio

Heléna Antonio is an international Film Director, Producer and founder of award winning film production company, Nymeria Productions.

She grew up between Italy and Spain and moved to London in 2015.

Her first film behind the camera, ‘2020’, is an intimate and emotional short film, presented at the Venice Film Festival in 2021, which received several awards at International Festivals - including ‘Best Short Film’ at the Montecatini Festival - and recognitions from film critics and audience. 
'Heléna Antonio’s first film as a director is something precious, small and secret, like a lullaby whispered in the ear’, are just some of the lines from a review written by the Prisma Film Festival. She recently directed ‘Internal Abyss’, a film about emotional abuse suffered by a 17 years old girl; it has just started the Festival circuit, being already nominated and selected at BIFA qualifying Film Festivals.

Heléna is also an actress and has recently finished filming two major Tv Series; ‘FBI International’ and ‘Supersex’, she is also in the cast of ‘Tutti a bordo’, the latest film of Golden Globe winning director Luca Miniero.She has been the lead of international campaigns, directed by directors such as Tony Kaye, Julio Medem and Maria Ripoll. 

Heléna works internationally and she is currently based in London, where she is writing and developing several projects to be produced from 2024 onwards.
