CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DIRECTORS UK MEMBERS WINNING BIG AT THE BAFTA CRAFT AWARDS

Last night, the winners of the BAFTA Craft Awards were announced, with Directors UK members sweeping the board in the directing categories. Celebrating the very best behind the scenes TV talent, the awards recognised Directors UK members Ben Anthony, Stephen Frears and Barbara Wiltshire for their contributions to UK television in 2018.

Ben Anthony won the Director: Factual award for Grenfell (Minnow Films/BBC One), Stephen Frears won the Director: Fiction award for A Very English Scandal (Blueprint Pictures/BBC One) and Barbara Wiltshire won the Director: Multi-Camera award for Inside No.9 Live: Dead Line (BBC Studios/BBC Two).

Representing directing talent from across genres, they are at the forefront of storytelling, creativity and innovation in our industry. The BAFTA Craft Awards celebrate the art of making television, reaffirming the notion that what happens behind the scenes directly impacts the content that shapes our daily lives.”
