The Grierson Trust have today (Monday 23 September) announced the nominations for their 2024 Grierson British Documentary Awards. As the only dedicated celebration of the documentary genre, the awards are important in recognising the work of factual directors. The winners will be announced 6 November.
Chair of the Grierson Trust Lorraine Heggessey said that this year’s nominees: “Reflect the incredible depth of talent in documentary filmmaking, and especially the new, diverse voices on and off-screen breaking through to tell stories from different perspectives, which really captivate viewers on all channels and platforms.”

The ceremony will take place at Camden’s music and arts venue the Roundhouse on 6 November 2024. More information about the ceremony can be found here.
