The Challenge ALEXA competition is back

The Challenge ALEXA competition is back and this year we’re looking for pitches which involve a comedic element.

We have once again partnered with ARRI to offer Directors UK members the chance to win a free 2-day ALEXA shooting package, taking place in March 2016. This package can include either an ALEXA SXT or ALEXA Mini camera with Master Anamorphic Lenses and Flare Sets.

Have you got a story to tell that has some kind of comedic element?

Would it benefit from a truly cinematic, anamorphic look?

Can you shoot it in 2 days?

Can you complete it by the end of April for a special screening?

If your answer to all those questions is yes, then we want to hear from you.

Whether your idea is for a short film, teaser trailer, test commercial or music video, email a brief outline (maximum 2 sides of A4) detailing the genre, length, cinematographer and cast to [email protected]. Include ‘Challenge ALEXA 2016’ in the subject line. The board of Directors UK will then select the most challenging submissions to go into production.

The deadline for applications is midday GMT Wednesday 20 January 2016. Full and Associate members only.
