Great sound is an essential part of creating an effective piece of film or television, and it’s important that directors know the ins and outs of how a sound crew works.
Now, Full and Associate members of Directors UK have the opportunity to find out from award-winning experts with AMPS — the Association of Motion Picture Sound.
At our introductory event, Judi Lee Herman (Production Sound Mixer — Britannia, The Tunnel), Jens Rosenlund Petersen (Sound Editor — Bohemian Rhapsody, The Long Song, I Am Not A Witch), Howard Bargroff (Re-recording Mixer/Dubbing Mixer — Cleaning Up, The Little Drummer Girl, A Very English Scandal) and Anna Bertmark (Sound Supervisor/Designer — God’s Own Country) will all talk through their roles and expertise. Moderator Emma Butt will also explain what it is that AMPS does, and how it can be of help to directors. This will be followed by a Q&A and a drinks reception.
The event will take place at Directors UK at 6.30pm on Monday 17 June. Directors UK members can book their place here.
