The awards successes keep on coming for Directors UK members — after last week’s showing at the RTS Craft & Design Awards, we were thrilled to see our members being recognised at the BIFA awards and BAFTA Children’s Awards this weekend.
On Sunday, the BAFTA Children’s Awards were presented at a ceremony at The Brewery, London. Directors UK member Dirk Campbell took home the award for Best Director for The Worst Witch. Huge congratulations to Dirk, and to all the BAFTA Children’s Award winners and nominees. You can read a full list here.
Also on Sunday, the 2019 British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) were announced — and we’re thrilled to report that member Edward Watts and co-director Waad Al-Kateab won the Best Director award for For Sama — which also won Best British Independent Film.
