The winners of the 2023 Academy Awards were announced at the ceremony on March 12. See which directors received accolades, including Directors UK member Peter Baynton, with our round-up below.
Everything Everywhere All at Once took home multiple awards, including Best Picture, Best Actress in a Leading Role, and Best Film Editing. Directors Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan (The Daniels) also received the award for Best Director! Watch their acceptance speech from the ceremony below.

Meanwhile, All Quiet on the Western Front, directed by Edward Berger, won Best International Feature Film.

The award for Best Documentary Feature went to Navalny, directed by Daniel Roher, whilst The Elephant Whisperers, directed by Kartiki Gonsalves, won Documentary Short Subject. Watch Kartiki’s press room speech below.
Elsewhere, An Irish Goodbye, directed by Tom Berkeley and Ross White, won Best Live Action Short Film. And finally, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, directed by Charlie Mackesy and Directors UK member Peter Baynton, took home the award for Best Animated Short Film.
