Need help with enhancing your profile or creating an effective showreel? Looking for creative support with your passion projects?
After plenty of positive feedback, Directors UK is announcing two new dates for Strategic Careers Support sessions with Cynthia De Souza to full members: an exclusive and impartial one-to-one bespoke creative consultancy for directors who are developing their profile in feature films (of any genre), TV drama, comedy or documentary projects for global content platforms, or shorts and proof-of-concept films.
This consultancy will be led by Cynthia De Souza. Cynthia is a freelance talent and development executive with a consistently strong track record and proven diversity influencer. She has assessed over 1,000 director’s reels and scripts to identify, champion, nurture and produce world-class and award-winning directors and projects.
Her career spans 20 years across the full spectrum of short films, high-end film and TV drama production and development, broadcast drama commissioning, public sector film funds, global commercial film sales markets, co-production project forums, acquisitions for theatrical distribution and festival exhibition.
“Cynthia was brilliant - so thoughtful about my work and career. In preparation for the meeting she watched every film clip/reel on my website and had pages of notes. In addition to her insight, Cynthia gave advice, encouragement and suggestions as to how I could progress. This was not blanket advice but tailored to me as an individual.”
The service includes
- Analysis of the member’s existing showreel and online profile to assess their effectiveness and how to stand out amongst hundreds of others.
- Development discussion of a single project or slate.
- Creative packaging of projects and strategy discussion for funding/commissioning.
- Discussion of the market potential of projects.
