BBC New Comedy Awards: Trainee Multi-Camera Scheme

Phil McIntyre Television would like to offer directors the chance to learn the editorial and technical skills needed to accelerate their career in multi-camera directing.

They are offering a chance to be mentored and supported by a hugely experienced multi-camera director on the regional heats of the BBC’s New Comedy Awards this October in various locations across the UK.  The places are available to individuals from underrepresented groups who are interested in developing their skills in this area of comedy.

Phil McIntyre Television would like to hear from directors who already have some experience, whether on short films or pilots, and are looking to develop their skills in multi-camera directing. The mentees will experience dealing with the challenges of prepping and shooting in a multi-camera OB environment on a six-part BBC series.

Deadline for applications: Friday 3 September

Applicants must be available between 26 September-13th October 2021
