Directors UK is pleased to once again support 4Stories, Channel 4’s exciting new talent initiative, for 2022 — and we’re hosting an insightful session for directors looking to take part.

4Stories offers three emerging writers and three emerging directors the opportunity to work with experienced producers at BlackLight television to create the BAFTA-winning On the Edge anthology. Applications for the next group of directors are opening this month.

As we again partner on this successful initiative, join us for a session on the 'dos and don’t’s' when making an application, and meet Ben Bickerton and Philip Trethowan, Executive Producers of the award-winning anthology, On The Edge.

This session will be taking place from 11:00-12:15 on Monday 24 January via Zoom.

Book your place here.

In this session Ben Bickerton and Philip Trethowan from BlackLight will tell you about this prestigious initiative, guiding you through the application and production processes.

Applications for the fourth series of 4Stories / On The Edge will launch on January 17 and close on the January 30.

The first two series of On The Edge were nominated for 4 BAFTAs, 4 BAFTA Cymru awards and last year took home Best Emerging Talent at BAFTA Cymru and Best New Writer at the Edinburgh TV awards. The third series is available to watch on All4 now.
