Paul Tanter

Paul is a London-based director with a great deal of experience directing and producing independent films. A filmmaker for over a decade, he’s worked in a wide variety of genres including drama, action, sci-fi, horror and crime. His debut film noir Jack Falls won Best Action Film at the London Independent Film Festival and his low-budget drama The Rise & Fall of a White Collar Hooligan was the biggest selling British independent film on DVD in 2012. His festive horror The Nights Before Christmas closed out the prestigious London FrightFest in 2020. In recent years Paul has directed several genre series which are popular both domestically and internationally, most notably action and politics show No Easy Days and vampire drama Age of The Living Dead, which was nominated at the Global Web Series Festival. CURRENTLY In preparation for directing Continuing Drama, Paul is shadowing directors on several including Hollyoaks, Casualty and teen drama Phoenix Rise. He is in pre-production on season 3 of vampire drama Age of The Living Dead and his latest film Stealing Chaplin has just been released in the USA and UK on DVD and digital following nationwide theatrical releases. The Guardian gave it three stars and called it “An Elmore Leonard-esque pleasure with an unflagging, garrulous confidence that whisks you along.”
