Biography

Adam is a BAFTA winning filmmaker based in the UK.

Fascinated by the human condition, he seeks out stories which have compelling characters and important issues at their core, combining his background in the camera department to create sensitive, visually stunning films.

His breakthrough feature documentary ‘Into the Storm: En La Tormenta’ was screened on BBC Storyville - the channel’s flagship documentary strand.

In 2022 Adam won the ‘Emerging Talent’ BAFTA for ‘Into the Storm’, which also won a hat trick of awards at the 2020 Brooklyn Film Festival, taking home Best Film, Best Documentary and the Audience Award; the first time a film has achieved this in the festival’s 23 year history.

Adam initially cut his teeth in the industry as a DP before focussing on producing and directing. He is just at home self-shooting an intimate verité film as he is working with a big crew to realise his vision.

Adam cares deeply about the big issues of our time; he has recently worked on documentaries for major streaming platforms about subjects which include hurricanes/climate change and the impact of the ultra wealthy on society.

When he is not making films Adam enjoys surfing with his kids, riding bikes and taking photographs.
