Brett directed Billy Elliot the Musical Live, Disney's Newsies Live, Miss Saigon Live, Michael Bublé Tourstop 148, and Love Never Dies - all event cinema releases. Miss Saigon and Billy Elliot are top two grossing live cinema events in the UK, with Newsies top grossing event cinema in the USA. He produced the live to Cinema and DVD release of Les Miserables 25th at the O2, Phantom of the Opera at Royal Albert Hall, Jesus Christ Superstar Arena Spectacular. Brett has directed and produced commercials and music videos for Phil Collins, Michael Buble, Robert Plant, Seal, Natalie Merchant, Josh Groban, Ben Folds, Katherine Jenkins, Gnarls Barkley, Rumer, Birdy, Lenny Kravitz and Eric Clapton. International commercials and campaigns for Madonna, REM, Linkin Park, Flaming Lips, Alicia Keys, Jason DeRulo, Bruno Mars, Jill Scott, Alfie Boe, Roland Villazon, Regina Spektor, Justice, My Chemical Romance, Nickelback, David Gray, Muse, KD Lang, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rihanna, Ray LaMontagne, Plan B. Other commercial and branding work includes Vodafone, Pepsi, Reebok, Orange, Adidas, Ikea, Coca-Cola. He has directed and produced filmed theatrical productions in the West End, Broadway, Canada, Germany and Australia for Les Misérables, Hamilton, Frozen, Phantom of the Opera, Singin in the Rain, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oliver, Wicked, Dirty Dancing, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Sister Act, Jersey Boys, Spring Awakening, Buddy Holly, Richard III, Shrek, Bring It On and War Horse. Brett also wrote and directed the feature documentary about pinball - 'Special When Lit' for PBS which won numerous awards on the festival circuit. Brett lives in South London with his wife and four kids. His house looks like it has been permanently robbed.
